I specialise in providing AutoCAD-based lift studies, incorporating detailed lift plans and crane & rigging drawings for complex and everyday lifting operations. With 50 years in the crane industry, 33 years producing CAD lift plans and more than 5,000 lift plans completed, I provide practical, detailed documentation based on real lifting experience, not just theory.

I am very experienced in providing lift plans to the standards required by companies such as BHP, Rio Tinto, Woodside, BP, FMG and many other resources and Tier 1 construction companies, as well as a wide range of leading crane hire companies. Lift plan drawings are 2D by default. I can provide 3D drawings if required. 

 

Risk management is also a major influence on how I develop lift plans. My background includes extensive practical involvement in crane and rigging risk assessment, as well as past senior management experience with one of Australia’s largest heavy lift and shift companies. That experience influences how I approach each job, identify potential problems and develop a lift plan that not only works in the real world, but is developed to identify and reduce risk wherever possible, and eliminate it entirely where practicable.
